$$x \neq 0$$

 Quantity A Quantity B $$3x^2$$ $$(3x)^2$$

A)The quantity in Column A is greater.
B)The quantity in Column B is greater.
C)The two quantities are equal.
D)The relationship cannot be determined from the information given.

We can solve this question using matching operations

Given:
Quantity A: 3x²
Quantity B: (3x)²

Simplify Quantity B to get:
Quantity A: 3x²
Quantity B: 9x²

Since x² must be POSITIVE, we can safely divide both quantities by x² to get:
Quantity A: 3
Quantity B: 9

Cheers,
Brent
