Ok, we start from the expression inside the parenthesis and we get $$\frac{1}{x-1}$$ as in the definition.

The second step is to apply the symbol to what we found inside the parenthesis, i.e. $$\frac{1}{\frac{1}{x-1}-1} = \frac{1}{\frac{2-x}{1-x}} = \frac{1-x}{2-x}$$.

The expression is exactly the same of column B, thus the answer is C
