Given x>1 , so consider x = 2,3,4..... only integers.

When we sub some random x value in Col A and Col B, we can see B is greater than A.

B.

We can solve this question using matching operations (my favorite Quantitative Comparison strategy)

Given:
Quantity A: 2x + 5
Quantity B: 5x + 2

Subtract 2x from both quantities to get:
Quantity A: 5
Quantity B: 3x + 2

Subtract 2 from both quantities to get:
Quantity A: 3
Quantity B: 3x

Divide both quantities by 3 to get:
Quantity A: 1
Quantity B: x

Since we are told that x > 1, the correct answer is B
