Well, not really. There is not a proper clue word/s to predict the answer. The only way is to grasp the meaning of the sentence as a whole.
Woolf ____________ conventional notions of truth:
in her words, one cannot receive from any lecture "a nugget of pure truth" to wrap up
between the pages of one's notebook and keep on the mantelpiece forever.
From this, you can infer that the real meaning is she plays with the truth and that this truth is always somehow changing.
I.E she plays with the standard truth. The standard truth (whatever it means) you take for granted and cast in stone.
She instead mocks (has a joke) of the truth. The akin word to pair with mock is makes light of.
Hope now is more clear to you.
Regards
