...when this is a GRE forum? Don't people normally take the GMAT for business school?

It depends. Most bschools also take GRE as an option. However, the number of applicants into Masters, PhD, and other programs by far outweighs the MBA applicants.... at the same time, MBA applicants to be be more competitive and tend to seek higher scores.

Because a business school is a place where you can get basic business skills. Also, you should be able to write personal statements well, in business schools it is very important.
