Subtract the 2nd equation from the 1st eqn
we get the value of $$y$$ as $$x$$ reduces to $$0$$ so $$y = 3$$
Among ans choices only $$B$$ and $$C$$ has $$y =3$$so the correct ans must be one of those two
Now replace the value of $$y = 3$$ in any one of the original eqn. Doing this will make $$x = 1$$
Therefore x=1 and y =3
option c

Given

x + 2y = 7........................1

x + y = 4.........................2

Deduct 2 from 1 :

y = 3.

Now put the value of y into the 1.

x = 1.
