(A) –4, –4, –2, 0, 0, 5
(B) –4, 1, 1, 3, 4, 4
(C) –4, –4, –3, 1, 5
(D) –5, 3, 4, 5
(E) –4, –4, –2, –2, 0, 0, 0, 5
The box plot (aka box-and-whisker plot) tells us that -4 is the SMALLEST value and 5 is the BIGGEST answer.
Only A and E meet this condition.
ELIMINATE B, C and D
Let's check A and E.
(A) –4, –4, –2, 0, 0, 5
The median = (-2 + 0)/2 = -1. SAME as box plot.
The LESSER values are: –4, –4, –2
The MEDIAN of –4, –4, –2 is -4. This means Q1 = -4. Hmmm, the boxplot says Q1 = -3
ELIMINATE A
Answer: E

Hi @GreenlightTestPrep, but why isn't c by the same logic an option? it has -4 as the smallest, 5 as the largest and -1 as its mean. Shouldn't C be the right answer?
