c^0 = 1, so it can be dropped. (ab)^3 can be rewritten as (a^3)(b^3). a^3 cancels out and we are left with b^3/b^4, or 1/b. Thus the answer is D.

Given: $$\frac{ (ab)^3 c^0}{a^3b^4}$$

Simplify: $$\frac{ a^3b^3 (1)}{a^3b^4}$$

The $$a^3$$ terms cancel out to get: $$\frac{b^3}{b^4}$$

Simplify: $$\frac{1}{b}$$
