Explanation

You know that $$\frac{xy}{z^2}$$, so solve this one by plugging in values for z, x, and y. If x = 12, then z = 36 and y = 144; $$\frac{xy}{z^2}=\frac{12\times 144}{36^2}=\frac{4}{3}$$. The correct answer is choice (B).

Try to represent the quantity in one variable, such as y=4z then z=y/4. If z=y/4 then y/4=3x, so x=(y/4)/3. Now, we can represent all in a form of y variable. (y/12*y)/ (y/4)^2. Solving for y, we can get 4/3.
