here,

The circumference of circle = $$2\pi * Radius$$

i.e. $$8 \pi$$ = $$2\pi * Radius$$

or $$Radius = 4$$

Area of Circle = $$2\pi * Radius^2 = 2\pi * 4^2 = 16 \pi$$
