The question is not clear. Are α, β roots of \(x^2+3x-10=0\)? If so...

\(x^2+3x-10=0\) or \((x + 5)(x - 2)=0\) so α=-5 or β=2 ..... as α<β.

So α-1= -6 and β+2=4.

Hence the new equation \((x + 6)(x - 4)=0\) or \(x^2+ 2x - 24 =0\)
