The question is not clear. Are α, β roots of

x^2+3x-10=0? If so...

x^2+3x-10=0 or

(x + 5)(x - 2)=0 so α=-5 or β=2 ..... as α<β.

So α-1= -6 and β+2=4.

Hence the new equation

(x + 6)(x - 4)=0 or

x^2+ 2x - 24 =0
