(E) $22.50 Let's convert hours to min; 1 hour 20 min = 80 mins Total time spent by the 2 people = 120 mins Total payment received =$45

Therefore, the person working for 80 mins receive = $$\frac{45}{120} *80$$= $30 and the person working for 40 mins receive = $$\frac{45}{120} *40$$=$15
