The volume of a cube is $$S^3 = 64$$, which means that one side of the cube is the cube root of 64. So $$S=4$$ See here for reference http://www.mathopenref.com/cubevolume.html

The base of a cube actually is a square so the area is $$4*4=16$$

Thank you so much
