Qty A

Time taken = 300/50 = 6 (I have taken speed as 50 miles/ hr for easy calculation but the speed is 52 miles/hr and not 50 miles/hr so the time taken will be < 6 hr)

Qty B

Time taken = 240/4 = 6hr

Hence option B

time = distance/speed

QUANTITY A: 300/52
QUANTITY B: 240/40 = 6

STOP! Don't waste your time calculating QUANTITY A.

Notice that QUANTITY A = 300/52
Since 300/50 = 6, we know that 300/52 must be less than 6

So, we get:
QUANTITY A: some number that's less than 6
QUANTITY B: 240/40 = 6

Answer: B

Cheers,
Brent
