at 3:30 population of bacteria was 240 hence
2:00 clock is 1 hr 30 minutes behind 3:30
1 hr 30 minutes = 3*30 minutes
since we are going backwards the number of bacteria become half each time
population of bacteria at 2:00 clock = 1/2*1/2*1/2*240 = 30
(b)
