Here the option is D

Because we know in isosceles triangle two sides are equal, but in the question it didnot mentioned which sides are equal

It may be side AB = Side AC or Side BA = Side BC or Side AC = Side CB

Given that the triangle is isosceles, it has two equal sides. Given one side (BC), side AB can be the side equal to BC, which measures 12 or the third side, which measures 40-2*12 = 16.

Thus, in the first case column A would be greater, while in the second one column B would be greater.
