ExplanationFor the integers greater than 24, note that 25, 26, 27, and 28 are not prime numbers, but 29 is a prime number, as are 31 and many other greater integers. Thus, 29 is the least prime number greater than 24, and Quantity A is 29. For the integers, less than 28, note that 27, 26, 25, and 24 are not prime numbers, but 23 is a prime number, as are 19 and several other lesser integers. Thus, 23 is the greatest prime number less than 28, and Quantity B is 23. The correct answer is Choice A, Quantity A is greater.

Carcass, when it comes to these type of questions, is there an easy to figure it out, or do you just have to take the time to solve them?

This is a fairly easy question now that I look at it again. Carcass, could you tell us if there is an easy way to analyze such a question? Posted from my mobile device

Hi, the easiest way to analyze this type of questions id to know as cold the first prime numbers up to 50 at the very òeast. No matter what. here is important a bit of memorization. This manner, you are able to solve the question, jotting down on a paper the numbers itself, in 30 seconds. No other way to solve it. Sometimes, write down is the fastest way to solve it. Without thinking too much. Regards

The quick way I did it was listing numbers after 24: 25, 26, 27, 28, 29...
In my mind, I kept knocking off each nonprime number which left me with 29. Since the comparison was with xxxxxx LESS THAN 28, I knew 29 would be bigger.
Hope that helps!
