Let us assume diameter = 4

Therefore the height of the cylinder = 3 * 4 =12

From statement 1;

Circumference =$$\pi$$ * $$(radius)^2$$

or circumference = $$\frac{22}{7}$$ * 4 = $$\frac{88}{7}$$=12.5 which is greater than 12; i.e the height of the cylinder

So Statement 1 > statement 2 ; hence option A
