Explanation

Here we need to find f(0):

\(f(x) = | x + 3 | + | x - 2 |\)

\(f(0) = | 0 + 3 | + | 0 - 2 |\)

\(f(0) = | 3 | + | -2 |\)

\(f(0) = 3 + 2\)

\(f(0) = 5\)

The value of Quantity A is equal to Quantity B. Thus option C is correct.

f(x) = |x + 3| + |x − 2|
So, f(0) = |0 + 3| + |0 − 2|
= |3| + |-2|
= 3 + 2
= 5

We get:
QUANTITY A: 5
QUANTITY B: 5

Answer: C
