The word I came up with for the blank was "awesome." The interior is disappointing, objectively. Even If the outside was also disappointing, the interior would still be bad.

However, if the outside looks great, then the interior is going to be even more of a letdown. You might enter with high expectations, thinking that the interior will be just as magnificent as the exterior. But then you are very disappointed by the terrible interior.

The word "august" isn't used like this frequently, but it means impressive, which fits the sentence perfectly. "Ostentatious" is the closest runner-up, but it comes with negative connotations, meaning designed to impress for haughty reasons.

The explantion above provided by the tutor and expert by Magoosh is a perfect fit.

There no compromise in the answer choices: or positive or negative.

However, the second part of the sentence tells us that the interior was disappointing. That means the facade was good or shiny or in perfect condition or something like that.

Put you in front of the house you would like to buy: the decade was awesome and then you expect the interior is even better. Then you are inside and the house is a mess so , of course, you are even MORE disappointed because you thought very different

Only A and C are positive words but A means kitsch, extravagant.

Even though I do not know the meaning of August (the only word reminds me with this name is the 8th month of the year - vacation) must be the answer.

August= prestigious.

Regards
