Explanation

Find the area of rectangle ABCD:

Area = l × w
or Area = 8 × 3 → Area = 24


Find the area of trapezoid EFGH:

Area = \(\frac{(b1+b2)}{2} \times (h)\)
or Area = \(\frac{(5+7)}{2} \times 4\)= \(6 \times 4\)=


Compare the quantities:

Quantity A: 24
Quantity B: 24

Hence option C is correct.
