Question:

Difficulty: medium

(a) $$−3x>7+x$$
Subtract x from both sides: $$−4x>7$$
Divide both sides by -4 to get: $$x<-\frac{7}{4}$$

(b) $$25x+16≥10−x$$
Add x to both sides:$$26x+16≥10$$
Subtract 16 from both sides: $$26x≥-6$$
Divide both sides by 26 to get: $$x ≥ -\frac{6}{26}$$
Simplify: $$x ≥ -\frac{3}{13}$$

(c) $$16+x>8x−12$$
Add 12 to both sides:$$28+x>8x$$
Subtract x from both sides: $$28>7x$$
Divide both sides by 7 to get: $$4>x$$ or we can write $$x<4$$

Cheers,
Brent
