science and religion have tenets which means principles or beliefs that are ...............Later part of the sentence tells us that these tenets are in conflict which we did not know previously from the first line that they were in conflict so we can eliminate disputable. The end of the sentence tells us that all of these cannot be correct hence The first part of the sentence should have an assumption or statement to be correct. Option B Axiomatic which is a statement taken to be true makes sense. There is no mention of past so History is not correct. Ubiquitous is also false because though these are principles they may not be universal or global and context of the passage does not support it. Similarly Empirical is also false because there is no mention of practical or experiential observation.
