Solving (3 - z)(z + 4) = 0, we get z = 3 or -4. Both are less than 5, hence answer is B.

If (3 - z)(z + 4) = 0, then EITHER (3 - z) = 0, OR (z + 4) = 0

Let's examine both possible cases:

case i: (3 - z) = 0
Solve: z = 3
We get:
QUANTITY A: 3
QUANTITY B: 5
In this case, Quantity B is greater

case ii: (z + 4) = 0
Solve: z = -4
We get:
QUANTITY A: -4
QUANTITY B: 5
In this case, Quantity B is greater

In BOTH possible cases, Quantity B is greater
