Explanation

Since the number of club members is c and there are 10 more members than non-members, the number of nonmembers is c – 10. Therefore Quantity A, the total number of people at the meeting, is c + (c – 10), or 2c – 10. Since Quantity B is also 2c – 10, the correct answer is Choice C.

GIVEN: The number of club members at the meeting is c.

GIVEN: There are 10 more club members than non-members.
In other words, the number of non-members is 10 LESS THEN the number of members
In other words, the number of non-members = c - 10

Total number of people at the club meeting = (number of members) + (number of non-members)
= (c) + (c - 10)
= 2c - 10

So, we get:

Quantity A: 2c - 10
Quantity B: 2c - 10

Answer: C

Cheers,
brent
