Each side of the map covers 8 miles since it is a square and $$\sqrt(64)=8$$.

Then we know that $$1in:\frac{4}{3}m = x = 8m$$, so that 8 miles corresponds to 6 inches.

Thus, the perimeter is $$6*4 = 24$$.

Kudos for correct solution.

Here it is about the SQUARE map.

So each side of the sq map =$$\sqrt{64}$$(in square, Area = side^2)

= 8 miles

Since $$1 inch =\frac{4}{3}$$ miles,

Therefore $$8 miles=\frac{3}{4}*8= 6 inch$$

Therefore perimeter of square map in inch = 4*side = 4*6 =24 inch
