The diameter of the circle will be greatest then any chord.

SO The diameter of the circle $$AB > \frac{{CB+DB}}{2}$$

AB is diameter
Average of millions of chords is not greater than AB

Why don't we consider the case AB=BC=BD

That is not possible the diameter of a circle will always be greater than a chord.

You can take any numbers , let say Diameter = 2 cm , BC = 1.98 and BD = 1.99 ( value of the chord has to be less than the diameter)

then $$diameter > \frac{(BC + CD)}{2}$$
