Hi,

So I found the following.

1. C
The total is 59,2. So we need to find all Age Group which have more than 15%.
Only Age Group 25-34;35-44 and 45-54 are more than 15%.
2. 25 400
It says that half of the injuries wee occured by men for categories below 25-34. (25-34 is inclusive)
We simply add: 18, 6 + 7,2 + 2,2 = 28
Then divide by 2. 14 So 14 000 men have injuries in those categories.
We substract 14 000 from 39 400 and we have 25 400
3. E
We know that the average if 48,5. We need to know the sum. The total of people in this categorie is 5 200 so we multiply 48,5 * 5 200 = 252 200
Then divide this by the 40 hours.

1. For statement 1

Here the total number of occupational injuries = 59.2

No. of age group constitute more than 15 % are-

group 25 -34, which constitute 18.6 which is greater than 15%

group 35 - 44 which constitute 15.7 which is greater than 15%

group 45 -54,which constitute 9.5 which is greater than 15%

Hence option is C i.e 3 groups.

2. Statement 2

Here the no. of injuries till the age group 34 = 28000

out of which 14000 injuries are incurred by men.

Therefore no. of injuries incurred by men over age group 35 = 39400-14000 = 25400

i.e option D

3. Statement 3

Here the total number of workweeks lost due to occupational injuries in the 55-64 age-group in 1998 =$$5200 * \frac{48.5}{40}$$ = 6300
