I am wondering if there is anybody on the forum applying for the Masters program in Management, Organization and Society at Stockholm Business School. The main requirement for this program is a good AWA section (80% AWA score and only 20% for the total score).
I am scheduled to take GRE soon but have strong concerns that GMAT's AWA and GRE's AWA section are differently graded despite the same grading scale (for example mean score for GRE's AWA is 3.48 while GMAT's AWA mean is 4.44, plus a 4.5 on GRE AWA brings you to high 82 percentile ranking while 4.5 of GMAT's AWA is below mean at only 42 percentile rank).
Apparently, the admissions at the university treats the scores equally which in my opinion is flawed logic. I believe that GRE's grading is much tougher and that would explain big differences in grade distribution.

I would be grateful for some thoughts or input on this matter.

Cheers :)

I do think that your concern is without reasons.

Actually, GMAT AWA is the analysis of an argument and GRE this plus the issue. Thay are the same because thw ay you structure, write and develop the AWA is the same. And probably will never change in the next future: both the way you write and grade them.

In fact, both of the exams rate the AWA on a 0-6 point scale.

Regards

I am wondering if there are any other universities who have the same or similar candidate selection like the Stockholm University.

It would be very interesting to compare these requirements.
