Don't forget to sort the numbers when finding the median of a set! Notice that if you just pick the middle number of both sets without sorting them first and then subtract, you would get 15, which is one of the answer choices (an incorrect one.)

Sorting the values from smallest to largest, we get:

List R: 23, 25, 27, 28, 30
List S: 15, 17, 19, 20, 22

The median of List R is 27 and the median in List S is 19, so the difference is 8 and the answer is A.
