I do think is of not go.....typo.

Pick a common number of boys and girls. The LCM of 4 and 6 = 24

Girls 48
Boys 24

After

Girls 36
Boys 20

$$56 = \frac{x}{100} 72 = 77.77 %$$

Please provide always the OA in spoiler.

Regards

total no. of students = G + B
G = 2B
so, total students = 2B + B = 3B

Now, total graduates who went to college immediately = 3/4 of G + 5/6 of B
bla...bla....bla................................... = 3/4 of 2B + 5/6 of B
bla....bla...bla.................................... = 3/2 of B + 5/6 of B
bla....bla....bla................................... = 28/12 of B
i.e ...............................................= 28/36 of total students = 7/9 (Voila.....)
