I am not sure about the solution of this question. I thought about computing the salary increase for the lowest salary and the greatest one in order to get a range of percent increase but in this way I get a range between 75% and 100% that is not consistent with the answers provided in the OA

Here the biggest mistake you could do is using the classic percent change formula.

Here you need the least and the greatest possible increase.

70-55/55 = 27.3 %

110-40/40 = 175 %

Between this range all the possible values are correct.

Got it! I don't know why I just computed the increase between corresponding values, meaning minimum with minimum and maximum with maximum.
