2* = 2^2+2 = 4. Thus, the only number to the * which leads to 4 is -2 since it is elevated to the 2 and it is exactly if we have 2. Answer A!

Hi,

I would like to mention an error that u post above. ie u wrote 2*=2^2+2=4 .it is wrong.but agreeing with ur final answer.
2*=2^2+4=8 and the only number to the * which leads to 8 is -2.thus the answer is option A.

2*=2^2+4=8
Option A (-2)*= (-2)^2+4=8
So option A is the answer.
