when we divide an integer by fraction, the integer becomes mush larger.

Note:

1. y is a fraction

2. x could be positive or negative.

Option E.

$$x^2$$ is always positive and is divied by y, a fraction.

The bet option is E.

Let y = 1/4
Let x = -3 or +3 or -1 or +1

Plugging in:
A,B,C out
D = if its +/- 3 then YES (=9/4 > 1) but if its +/- 1 then NO (=1/4 < 1)

E = (+/-3)^2/ (1/4) is 36 or (+/-1)^2/ (1/4) is 4 so E is TRUE Re: If x is a non-zero integer and 0 < y < 1, which of the follo   [#permalink] 13 Sep 2018, 12:58
