Solution

Applying the exponent properties after simplification we do have that $$\frac{x^7}{x^2}$$

So we come up with $$x^5$$

Answer is $$D$$

 A $$x^2$$

 B $$x^3$$

 C $$x^4$$

 D $$x^5$$

 E $$x^6$$

Another approach is to plug in a value for x and see what we get.

Let's plug in x = 2

We get:
[(x)(x²)³]/(x²) = [(2)(2²)³]/(2²)
= [(2)(4)³]/(4)
= [(2)(64)]/(4)
= 128/4
= 32

We know that 32 = 2
So, since x = 2, we can see that 32 = x⁵

Cheers,
Brent
