One option is to assign a nice value to the job. That is a value that works well with 2 (hours) and 4 (boys)
Let's say the job of shoveling the driveway consists of removing 40 units of snow (40 works with 5 boys as well!)

Four boys can shovel a driveway in two hours
So, 4 boys can remove 40 units of snow is 2 hours
This means the 4 boys can remove 20 units of snow in ONE hour
So, EACH BOY can remove 5 units of snow in ONE hour

How many minutes would it take five boys to shovel that driveway?
If EACH BOY can remove 5 units of snow in ONE hour, then FIVE BOYS can remove 25 units of snow in ONE hour
The entire job = 40 units of snow
Time = output/rate
So, time = 40/25 = 40/25 = 8/5 hours
8/5 hours = 1 3/5 hours = 96 minutes

Hi,

Without assigining values also we can easily find out the answer.
4 boys took 120 min
suppose if there is only one boy ,then it took 120*4=480 min to complete the work.
therefore if there are 5 boys,it took 480/5=96 min
