If c is the product of a and b, which of the following is the quotient of a and b?
A) \(\frac{b^2}{c}\)
B) \(\frac{c}{b^2}\)
C) \(\frac{b}{c^2}\)
D) \(bc^2\)
E) \(b^2c\)
A quotient is the result of division. In division, the dividend ÷ the divisor = the quotient.
In this question a is the dividend and b is the divisor
so \(\frac{a}{b}= \frac{{a * b}}{b^2}= \frac{c}{b^2}\)
