A. $$1+\frac{1}{a}$$
B. $$1+a$$
C. $$\frac{1}{1+a}$$
D. $$a^2+1$$
E. $$\frac{a}{a+1}$$

The given expression for b can be simplified:

$$b = c + d^2/c$$
or,$$b = \frac{c}{c} + \frac{d^2}{c}$$
or, $$b = 1 + \frac{1}{a}$$ (from the eqn for a we can find $$\frac{d^2}{c}$$ as a reverse for a)
