If 55 percent of the people who purchase a certain product are female, what is the ratio of the number of females who purchase the product to the number of males who purchase the product?

A. \(\frac{11}{9}\)

B. \(\frac{10}{9}\)

C. \(\frac{9}{10}\)

D. \(\frac{9}{11}\)

E. \(\frac{5}{9}\)

Here for easy calculation let us take the total no. of people who purchased the product = 100

so Total no. of female purchased the product = 55% of Total = 55% * 100 = 55

so the total no. of male purchased the product = 100 - 55 =45

Therefore the ratio of \(\frac{female}{male}\)= \(\frac{55}{45}\) = \(\frac{11}{9}\)
