Either or both s and t should be a fraction with absolute value < 1, and either both should be negative or both should be positive.

Hence, option c shows that s > -1 [because any number between -1 and 0 is a negative fraction with an absolute value < 1]

and t < -1 [also a negative fraction ]

For example,

say s= - 0.5 and t= -1.5, then st = 0.75 [0< 0.75 <1]

PS: Option B is a trap. s<-1 and t<-1 do not produce a product with an absolute value between 0 and 1.
