Explanation

This is the number of combinations of 8 items taken 5 at a time (because the order does not matter). This number is equal to $$\frac{8}{5}\times\frac{7}{4}\times\frac{6}{3}\times\frac{5}{2}\times\frac{4}{1}=8\times7=56$$.

Hence option B is correct!
