We are eager to present you this new project: ALL the questions you will see taking the Official Prep software provided by ETS in your preparation for the GRE exam. This post stems from a very simple consideration: the software gives you the score that probably you are going to get during the exam day AND the OA to your answers. However, it does not give you an official explanation of the same questions, regardless whether you pick them right or wrong.
This scenario aforementioned could be detrimental in your preparation for the GRE exam because is crucial to stick the explanation of every question to improve your skills and confidence with the exam itself.
As a matter of fact, you must also keep in mind and be aware of key points:
- this resource should be spoil only when you do have the necessity to understand why a question is either right or wrong answering to it BUT you do not know how to figure it out on your own
- looking at these questions only and solely after you took the official software exam, otherwise your score could be strongly biased or/and inflated
- use this kind of directory as the last resource of your preparation for the exam, trying to improve your score.
§ Disclaimer: as for the
2018, the PowerPrep Software to downloading on your computer is no longer provided by ETS. Now, you have to go to this page
and take the test
on-line, after creating an account. The questions you saw in the previous version of the software are identical to the questions you will see online, taking the test; it is still provided for free. In the following link below, you can download the off-line version from our website. However, I strongly recommend taking the new version because of the possible small difference in the layout or else that could provide a more enjoyable experience.

1) For ALL the students who start the test, the first section is ALWAYS on the medium level of difficulty. On average will be on 3-3.5 level on a scale from 1 (the easiest question) to 5 (the hardest). See below, for instance,
Test_1 - Section 2 - Verbal Reasoning or T
est_1 - Section 3 - Quantitative Reasoning2) In the second section (both quant and verbal)
IF your correct answers in the first section were in that range 0-6 correct upon 20 questions the second section will be
easy level.
Alike, if in the first section your correct answers were from 7-14 range, then your second section will be
medium level.
More, if in the first section you pick 15-20 range questions correct, then your second section of the test will be
HARD Level.
That is the way the GRE, which is a section computer-adaptive test, works to assess your final score.
