What is the cost of repairing an appliance if the wholesale price of the parts is $15 and it takes 2 hours to repair it?

(A) $12
(B) $18
(C) $20
(D) $40
(E) $58

Here

p = wholesale price of the part = $15

h = number of hours it takes to repair the appliance = 2 hr.

Therefore cost of reparing the appliance = 1.2p + h =(1.2 * 15) + 20 = $58
