Let there be 100x candidates who appeared for the exam.

Numver of Candidates | Number Of questions |

5x | 0 |

25x | 1 |

24.5x | 2 |

200 | 3 |

20x | 4 |

5x | 5 |

So thats an exhaustive set, so we can write

\(5x+25x+24.5x+200+20x+5x = 100x\)

Therefore

20.5x = 200;

Now 100 x is the total number of candidates who appear in the exam. Easy to find, but the value is not coming to an integer. You sure you got all the values right?
