Here,

Surface area of the solid is = \(2(LH + BH + LB) = 2 (70 + 20 + 14) = 2(104) = 208\)

Length of AB = \(\sqrt{{L^2 + B^2 + H^2}} = \sqrt{{ 49 + 4 + 100}}= \sqrt{153} = 3\sqrt{17}\)

It's based on a useful formula, which goes something like this:

If you have a box with dimensions A x B x C, and points P and Q are located as shown in the diagram, then the length of PQ \(= \sqrt{A^2 + B^2 + C^2}\)
