probably the best way is NOT to deal with the radical but to picking numbers.

We do have cube roots and among the answer choices only 8 is a perfect cube root. This is an hint

Using 8 we do have $$(4+2)^2=36$$ Which holds true.

You dont need to perform any needless computation here
It's only 8 that has an integer cube square root and since the question is in integer form just pick and validate your answer by plugging it back to the question
