Mainly the author explains that the conversation is simple and not too specific. So how do we comprehend that the convs were frustrating. IMO limiting suits well

The best way to go about this is elemination. While you are right that 'limiting' is a possibility, however it has no synonyms among other options.

Hence frustrating and forestalling are best fit.

Note here frustrating is used in the same sense as hindering.

Why wouldn't the answer choices be B forestalling (act in advance of someone in order to stop them from doing something) and F limiting since there is information that important details are missing so a full conversation is not achieved while conversing with Ethan?

The sense of the sentence is that because of the lack of details, the conversations were frustrating. The only synonym among the other answer choices is B

Limiting has no clue in the entire phrase.

I.E. The conversations were not clear and even though this we didn't get a joke of him if not accidentally

Ask for further assistance
