Each dimension of the rectangular solid pictured is an integer less than 6. Which of the following is the total surface area of the solid?
A. 24
B. 52
C. 60
D. 68
E. 78
Volume of the rectangular solid = \(length * width * Height\)
or\(24 = Length * 4 * Height\)
or \(Length * Height = 6\)
Since it is given all sides are less than 6 and are integer
so we can take Length = 3 and Height = 2 or vice-versa as it will end up the same result
Now Surface Area of the rectangular solid =\(2 * ( Length * width) + 2 * (Width * Height) + 2 * (Length * Height) = 2 * ( 12 + 8 + 6) = 52\)
