Explanation

Quantity A becomes $$\frac{x}{100} * 100x$$.

Simplifying this algebraic expression gives $$x^2$$, which is Quantity B. The correct answer is, therefore Choice C.

KEY CONCEPT: x percent = x/100
For example, 19% = 19/100, and 123% = 123/100

So, x percent of 100x = x/100 of 100x
= (x/100)(100x)
=

We get:
QUANTITY A:
QUANTITY B: x²

Brent
