Can I just take one of the three parts of the exam? [#permalink] New post 13 Jun 2014, 08:33
Hello all,

I wonder if is it possible just to take the Verbal & Analytical Writing sections and skip the Quantitative part of the exam?

The school where I want to go, they just require my verbal and analytical scores and I want to take the preparation classes, so I do not want to waste my time studying Maths when that score is not going to be considered by the university.

If it is possible, how can I do this? Just skip the Quantitative part or when I register on ETS website I have the option to specify this?

Thank you for your help! :)

Hi,
Yes you can skip the whole sections if you like. There is no option though to specify it when you are going to register with ETS. But you can choose to skip sections during the exam. There will be a "Submit Section" button. I would advice against it though. GRE scores are very important since its a standardized exam score. You may never know when will you require it again in the next 5 years.
